Is Natural wine the future?

NOT – largest wine fair dedicated to natural and artisanal wines in Southern Italy and Sicily. Palermo has inaugurated its calendar of events dedicated to wine with great success. NOT vini Franchi, the great reunion of natural wines came to life on January 15 and 16. With hundreds of producers from all over Sicily, Italy, and from France, Germany, Austria, Slovenia, and Spain, with more than 500 labels for tasting.
The event, which celebrates the figure of the winemaker and artisanal work as a cultural act of safeguarding territorial identity and Nature, welcomed the public and industry insiders at the Tre Navate space. It seemed that the city of Palermo has finally woken up, welcoming the protagonists as Sicilian and worldwide grape varieties and terroirs, life stories, winemaking philosophies.

People - the focus of everything.
The energy of NOT wine fair that I am bringing with me from this experience is more valuable than anything else.
I didnโt only meet beautiful people, known for their simplicity and awareness of the power of Nature, but winemakers with stories to tell that I was looking forward to meeting, seeing, and hearing from again. People were the focus of everything.
I loved talking to winemakers about natural winemaking, grapes, climate, soil, aging techniques, the future of agriculture, and many more topics. You always grow and learn a lot, even from these brief moments. I appreciated so much the high quality of wines in general, the clarity of ideas, awareness, creativity, and enhancement of the concept of natural territorial and veracious wines with a memorable emotional thrust, envisioning a beautiful future, more sustainable, healthy, and authentic!
